For many couples, getting pregnant is not as easy, and there may be many reasons for this. There are a variety of things that can be done to help increase a woman's chances of pregnancy. These include improving your health, trying aromatherapy or herbs or making positive lifestyle changes. However, for some people these measures do not help.
It could be that the problem is with female infertility, i.e. because of PCOS or because the woman is of advanced years. Often irregular menstruation can be a sign that a woman may have problems conceiving. On the other hand, it may be the man that has infertility problems, either through impotence, blockages or structural problems within the reproductive system. In both cases, taking drugs may affect the chances of a successful pregnancy. Sadly, there are some couples for whom no clear reason can be found for infertility, but pregnancy just doesn't occur.
f you are having trouble conceiving you may need a fertility test. A common form of fertility testing is via ultrasound, but you could also be tested for antiphospolipid antibodies and may have a diagnostic laparoscopy.
Obviously it can be very challenging for a couple's relationship to endure infertility issues. However, there are fertility treatments that may be available if this is deemed to be necessary in order for you to conceive a child.
